Social media really be showing me how backwards this world is becoming.
Everyday I log on and see people doing ANYTHING for views, likes, shares, and a check. I’m talking about embarrassing themselves, exposing their personal business, recording mental breakdowns, fake drama, people fighting, people humiliating themselves, and honestly some stuff just be flat out disturbing.
What really blows me is seeing people literally go live crying for help, talking about suicide, harming themselves, or clearly going through something serious… and somehow THAT stays up. But let me post a adult novelty product from my business and suddenly I’m “violating community guidelines” 😂
Like be for real.
So social media will push negativity, drama, depression, and chaos all day long because it keeps people entertained, but small business owners trying to promote legal products get blocked, flagged, restricted, and shadow banned? Make it make sense.
And before anybody starts… yes I understand every platform has rules. But the inconsistency is what gets me. One person can post the wildest content imaginable and go viral overnight, while another person trying to build a legitimate business gets treated like a criminal over a product link.
That’s why I’m learning not to take social media too serious anymore. Half of this internet stuff is performance anyway. People sacrificing their dignity for clicks while the people actually trying to elevate, grow businesses, motivate others, or make honest money constantly gotta fight algorithms
